This Privacy Policy explains how Capsule ("we," "us," or "our") handles information collected through this website — specifically, the beta waitlist sign-up form. Capsule is a time-locked photo-sharing app currently in pre-release.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter and the fact that you consented to be contacted. When you submit the form, our form processor also receives standard technical information your browser sends with the request (such as your IP address and a timestamp), which is used for spam prevention.
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics.
How we use your information
We use your email address for a single purpose: to send you occasional updates about the Capsule beta and launch. We do not use it for unrelated marketing.
How your information is shared
We share your email only with the service providers that help us operate the waitlist:

- Our email provider, used to contact you about the beta.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address.
Data retention
We keep your email until the beta concludes, until you ask us to delete it, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us at the address below. Children
Capsule and this waitlist are intended for people 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their email, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security & international transfers
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our service providers may process and store data in the United States and other countries.

The waitlist
This website lets you join a waitlist for Capsule, an app that is still in development. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the beta, a specific timeline, or that the app will be released at all. We may invite waitlist members to test the app at our discretion.
Pre-release & "as is"
Capsule is pre-release software. Features, availability, and these Terms may change at any time. The Service and any beta access are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, accessing it through automated scraping or attacks, submitting other people's information without permission, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Capsule name, logo, and the content on this website are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our permission.
Third-party services
The waitlist form is processed by Formspree; your use of it is also subject to their terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Community Guidelines
Capsule is a place to share memories with people you trust. These Community Guidelines apply to everything you create, upload, or share in the app once it's available. They exist to keep Capsule safe and welcoming. Breaking them can lead to content removal, loss of access to a capsule, or account suspension.
The basics
- Be respectful of the people you share with.
- Only share photos and videos you have the right to share.
- Respect the privacy of anyone who appears in your content.
What's not allowed
- Illegal content or activity of any kind.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors. We have zero tolerance and will report it to the appropriate authorities.
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
- Graphic violence or gore, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Sharing someone's private information or images of them without their consent.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or attempts to deceive other users.
Consent & privacy
Capsules are private and invite-only. Only add people who want to be part of a capsule, and think before sharing content that includes others — make sure they're okay with it.
Reporting & blocking
If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, you can report it or block the user from within the app. Reports are reviewed, and we may remove content or take action on accounts as needed. Blocking is private — the blocked person isn't notified.
Enforcement
Depending on the severity, we may remove content, remove someone from a capsule, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

Capsule is for people 13 years and older.
